Control Units & Automotive Electronics

Diagnose first. Then decide.

A faulty Control Unit does not automatically need to be replaced. At BECKER-SYSTEMS, the cause is first isolated through technical testing, down to component-level electronics where appropriate.

Why have Control Units tested?

A fault reported by a Control Unit does not always mean the Control Unit itself is faulty

Modern automotive electronics are closely interconnected. A fault code may be caused by the Power Supply, ground connections, wiring, sensors, actuators or communication networks. Reliable diagnosis therefore begins before an expensive component is replaced.

Alongside vehicle diagnostics, BECKER-SYSTEMS has long specialised in the technical examination of electronic assemblies and Control Units. Depending on the design, symptoms and test conditions, repair may be a viable alternative to replacement.

  • Combine symptoms with vehicle diagnostics
  • Check power supplies, signals and communication
  • Examine the Control Unit at component level
  • Locate and assess electronic faults
  • Assess repair options before replacement

From vehicle fault to individual component

Die technische Untersuchung kann mehrere Ebenen verbinden. Entscheidend ist nicht nur, welches Control Unit einen Fehler meldet, sondern warum dieser Fehler entsteht.

Manufacturers

Multi-brand vehicle expertise

BECKER-SYSTEMS works with the diagnostic systems and technical requirements of major German vehicle manufacturers, particularly Mercedes-Benz, BMW and the Volkswagen Group. Vehicles from many other manufacturers are also supported.

The strength lies not only in the equipment, but also in many years of experience with vehicle-specific systems, Control Units and their interactions. This knowledge is particularly important when interpreting diagnostic information in complex cases and identifying the underlying technical cause.

Important: Whether a specific Control Unit can be repaired depends on the device, the cause of the fault, its design and the available testing and repair options. A definitive assessment can only be made after the actual unit has been inspected and tested.
